Ok, dah naik tren, keesokannya kami ke Zoo Negara pula sebagai memenuhi hajat kedua Syakir yg dapat nombor 1. Actually ni bukan kali pertama Syakir pergi ke zoo. Kali pertama pergi Zoo Negara dgn tadika. Kali kedua, kami sekeluarga berkunjung ke Zoo Taiping (Izzah was a few months old masa tu). Ni dah third time la untuk Syakir. (Tapi masa kat UK, pernah gak berkunjung ke Chester Zoo. So ni patutnya dah fourth time la pergi zoo).
Bila ditanya, apa yg Syakir nak tengok kat zoo? Cepat je dia menjawab, "Crocodile!" Huhhhh?? "Crocodile?", I asked, minta kepastian. "Yes, they're my favourite animal in the whole world!" Errrkkk... I certainly hope he was kidding... 
Dari rumah, kami bawa bekal air, karipap, biskut Tiger and some sandwiches. Ayah bawa knapsack berisi bekal makanan, Ummi bawa knapsack berisi nappy/baju persalinan Izzah (Teringat lak masa jalan-jalan kat UK dulu. Pergi travelling mana2 bawa knapsack, senang). And since Syakir came back from his last trip to Zoo Negara penuh dgn gigitan agas, this time we brought along an insect repellent and 'smeared' ourselves with it, prior to entering the zoo. Hehe... We came prepared! 
Mula2 we took the so-called train ride. Sampai la ke Train Stop number 8 kot (near the amphitheater). Recalling a signboard near the entrance that said a multi animal show would be held at 11, we got off the train and headed towards the amphitheater.
Lagi 15mins show nak mula. Fullamak!!!! Ramainya orang!!!!!!! Dah hampir penuh seats kat situ. We managed to get some seats at the back row. Ramai betul budak2 sekolah/tadika hari tu. And seeing some of them yg pegang binoculars, baru teringat..."Ha ah lah, Syakir.. you should have brought yours along." "Ok, next time we go to the zoo, Syakir bawa." (hmmm..bila agaknya ye?)
Lepas animal show, kami pun jalan kaki, ronda2 tengok binatang. Izzah pulak, nampak tiger dipanggilnya "Eeeowwww!". Nampak racoon pun panggil "Eeeowww!" jugak.
We stopped for lunch before sambung jalan2 lagi. Lepas pukul 1, semua dah mula penat, esp Izzah. Dah start lentok kat bahu Ayah. Dengar je azan Zohor berkumandang di udara, kami pun selesai 'cover' most of the zoo (except for the birds). Izzah pun dah lena. So we headed towards the main entrance gate and pulang ke rumah....Syakir pun terlena in the car as soon as we left the zoo...

Tunaikan Hajat 1 - Naik Tren

Since Syakir dpt nombor 1 dlm periksa yg lepas, and he requested to "naik tren", Ayah pun ambik la cuti sehari last Friday for our train ride. We took the ERL KLIA Transit from Putrajaya to KL Sentral, then took the LRT to KLCC. Masa kat KLCC, sempat jumpa Auntie Allyn for a while (dah lama Syakir tak jumpa Auntie). Then while Ayah went for solat Jumaat, kami ronda2 jap kat kedai buku etc. Lepas Ayah solat, we had lunch, then headed back home via KL Sentral and Putrajaya again.
Sepanjang perjalanan dlm tren, Amir Syakir asyik pok pek pok pek je. Dlm KLIA Transit tu, tak ramai org, so ok lagi. Tapi bila dlm LRT, orang pun asyik pandang je Syakir yg tanya macam2, baca nama stesen kuat2, dok 'countdown' how many more stations to go, tanya "why is the tunnel so dark?", etc, etc. Suara dah la kuat. Layan je lah. 
On both LRT rides (pergi and balik from KLCC), seperti biasa lah, tren sure ramai orang. Takde tempat duduk. Alhamdulillah, orang2 kat Malaysia ni masih ada budi pekerti. Seeing Syakir and Izzah (Izzah tido on the way balik), we were given seats. Terima kasih!
Oh ye, it was Izzah's first time naik tren (masa dlm perut Ummi, tak kira la kan). So she looked a bit nervous masa awal2 naik tren tu. Maybe she wasn't used to the vibrations and the sound. In fact, masa tunggu tren kat Putrajaya lagi, muka dia dah mcm apprehensive je.
It was a rather tiring day, but we all enjoyed the outing. Syakir kata nak naik "fast train to the airport" pulak. Ok...tapi kena dapat number 1 utk exam hujung tahun pulak lah ye.

Izzah & eeeoww & 2,3,4,5,6,7,9

"Eeeowww" - that's Izzah way of saying 'kucing'. (Amir Syakir lak, masa kecik2 dulu, sebut 'mmeoow' jadi "minah" !!! Lama jugak la dia pelat sebut "Minah!" everytime nampak kucing.
Anyway, balik dari kampung/Kelantan hari tu, we were surprised by a mother cat (a stray) yg baru je beranak kat atas doormat depan pintu rumah. Tali pusat anak dia masih melekat lagi. Kesan darah pun ada. Gerenti baru sgt dia beranak.
Dipendekkan cerita, walaupun we've been feeding the mother cat, and given her a box to 'house' her and her kittens, she kept moving her three kittens about. Kejap dia pindahkan pegi belakang rumah jiran sebelah. Kejap dia pindahkan balik masuk kotak. Lepas tu dia pindahkan lagi ke belakang rumah jiran belah sana. Now I don't know where they are, or even if they're still alive. Mak kucing tu, selalu la nampak merayau2 dekat2 sini, minta makan.
Ni gambar2 Izzah (belum mandi lagi masa gambar ni diambil) tgh tengok and teman 'eeeoww' makan.
And yes, Izzah dah pandai "mengira"! Have been teaching her to count "one" sampai "ten". The routine usually goes like this:
Ummi: One..
Izzah: Tooo (two la tu)
Ummi: Two...
Izzah: Teee
Ummi: Three...
Izzah: Fo
Ummi: Four...
Izzah: Fai
Ummi: Five...
Izzah: Seee
Ummi: Six...
Izzah: Sen
Ummi: Seven..
Izzah: {senyap - belum boleh sebut 'eight' lagi}
Ummi: Eight...
Izzah: Nai
Ummi: Nine...
Izzah: Nenek! (sambil tunjuk kat phone Ummi)
Distracted la tu, nampak phone Ummi je, suruh tepon Nenek. "Heyo Nenek" asyik jadi sebutan. Tapi bila betul2 call Nenek, dpt dengar suara Nenek, Izzah diam and senyum je. Tak bercakap pun... Rindu nak dengar suuara Nenek kot.
Malam2 pun, time nak tido (time disuruh tido, actually), dia dok guling sana, guling sini. Pas tu dia bangun, duduk and tanya, "Aba?" (Abang?). Maka bermulalah soal jawab seperti berikut:
Ummi: Abang sleep.
Izzah: Ayah?
Ummi: Ayah sleep / Ayah kat komputer.
Izzah: Nenek?
Ummi: Nenek pun dah sleep (agaknya la)
Izzah: Ummi?
Ummi: Ummi kat sini, tunggu Izzah nak sleep.
Izzah: Tatak? (Kakak?)
Ummi: Kakak sleep.
** At this point Izzah would usually repeat and ask about Tatak again, usually 2 more times. Entahlah, maybe one each for Kakak Diha, Kakak Yaya and Kakak Taty?**
Penat gak kekadang, nak tidokan Izzah ni. Ada kalanya, Syakir dah nak lelap, Izzah dtg kacau, ambik bantal Abang lah, ambik selimut Abang lah... Kesian kat Abang...

Kelantan Trip - Days 2 and 3

Hari kedua di Kelantan, kami ke Pengkaan Kubor. Ada sale rupanya! Mungkin kerana cuti sekolah? Ramai sgt orang bershopping. Sebab Izzah kurang sihat, we just stayed in the car, while Atok and Nenek did their shopping (Syakr ikut sama). Penat menunggu dalam kereta, we drove to Pantai Sri Tujoh, located not far away.
Selesai urusan di pengkalan Kubor, kami menuju ke Tesco. Had lunch kat sana. The back to the hotel....rehat.
Later in the night, another episode of sleepless in KB. Izzah terjaga lagi a few times during the night and nangis. But tak sekerap malam sebelumnya. And nangis pun takdelah lama sangat. Dapat lah Ayah tido nyenyak sedikit (kalau tak, ngantuk jugak, the next day nak drive balik ke kampung semula!).
Hari ketiga & terakhir kami di Kelantan, after breakfast etc, we checked out from the hotel and we headed towards Pengkalan Chepa utk majlis perkahwinan kawan Ayah.
Seterusnya, kami menuju ke Tok Bali and Kuala Besut (singgah sebentar kat tepi jalan utk beli keropok) sebelum pulang menuju ke Gerik via Machang.
View yg cantik semasa kat Lebuhraya Timur-Barat. Unfortunately takde tempat nak stop utk ambik gambar at that particular stretch. Ada satu tempat perhentian, tapi dah terlepas kat belakang, and ramai sgt orang.
Sunset di atas bukit....
Alhamdulillah, selamat tiba di rumah Atok at almost midnight. Ayah drove all the way. Thank you for bringing us home safely, Ayah!
Esoknya, pulang ke KL semula...

Alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah!
Firstly, result exam Syakir which he sat for at his tadika before the school holidays, dah pun dikeluarkan a few days ago. In short, Syakir dapat nombor 1! Alhamdulillah! Despite the demam, he did well.
"Teacher kata nak bagi present next Monday." (big grin).
"Syakir nak pegi zoo on Saturday, then naik train on Sunday." (another big grin).
ooook...... Tapi not this weekend ye, coz weekend ni Ayah kena kerja. InsyaAllah next weekend. "Ok!", he replied happily.
(Tapi the exam papers will only be given back masa hari perjumpaan dgn ibu bapa nanti).
And today, result bagi kemasukan ke Darjah Satu at SRAI, dikeluarkan. Lepas hantar Ayah n Syakir pagi tadi, I headed straight to the school. Didn't see anything on the noticeboard, so I enquired at the office. "Belum keluar lagi, Kak. InsyaAllah dlm pukul 9.30 nanti." Oh ye ke? Hehehe... So I waited in the car, did a bit of reading.
Close to half past 9, saw a member of staff putting up some papers on the noticeboard near the guard house. I waited a bit before I was sure he was done with his task. Lepas tu baru la pegi tengok.
Alhamdulillah! Syakir layak masuk Darjah Satu kat sekolah tu.
A friend (whose son sat for the exam too) contacted me and when she knew that I was at the school, terus minta tolong tgkkan result anak dia. Alhamdulillah, her son qualified as well. So perhaps I'll see more of my friend lah, lepas ni (tinggal tak la jauh sgt, tapi masing2 sibuk dgn kehidupan seharian. She was my ex-classmate masa kat mrsm dulu. Then she did her undergrad at the same univ as Ayah. Husband dia pun sama univ dgn Ayah dulu).
Menjawab pertanyaan ummirafeeq, from what I gather, sekolah tu back in the year 2000, was among 10 schools chosen by JAIS as a pilot school to be one of the Sekolah Rendah Agama Integrasi. Now dah ada a few more SRAI kat Selangor ni. Basically satu sekolah ni ada satu sesi je. Macam 2-in-1 lah. So no hassle of picking up the kids tengahari, then sending them for sekolah agama later in the afternoon. If you notice, actually ada quite a number of Integrated Islamic schools kat Malaysia ni. Tapi mostly private. Thus, fees can be rather costly.
For this particular SRAI, 360 children registered for next year's Darjah Satu intake, but the school only wants about 200 students. Thus the entrance exam was held (it's held annually though).
Looking at the school's website (which unfortunately, is 'tidak seberapa'), they have quite a long list of Ko Kurikulum activities available, apart from the usual badan beruniform and kelab sukan. So, there you go, Syakir...naik main badminton? bola? Take your pick. 
I have yet to know more about the school. InsyaAllah in the near future, boleh dpt tau lebih lagi. Selama ni, dpt bnyk maklumat dari brother Mazlan's blog (http://mazlan.wordpress.com/) - esp since the school's website wasn't in existence till a few months back. So, many thanks to brother Mazlan

Kelantan Trip - Day 1
|
|
The previous few times we went to Kelantan with Atok and Nenek, we would always bertolak from Bota as early as before Subuh. "Tak panas", kata Atok. We would stop for Subuh prayers somewhere at Gerik and by the time we reach the Lebuhraya Timur-Barat, it's already bright.
However, kali ni, with Syakir and Izzah along, Atok decided to bertolak lambat sikit (so unlike him). Kami solat Subuh di rumah, then singgah rumah Oyak kat Seri Iskandar (sempat breakfast lagi tu), before finally leaving for Kelantan via Parit, Manong, Kuala Kangsar, Lenggong and Gerik.
Since Atok pun tak berapa sihat macam dulu, Ummi dah bersedia jadi co-driver should Ayah rasa penat or ngantuk. However, for the whole 3 day trip, Ayah did all the driving, even though ada sekali tu he had a pounding headache (terima kasih Panadol Actifast!).
Tak banyak gambar di ambil semasa di Kelantan. Izzah tak sihat after we arrived in KB (more on that later). Cadangan nak bawa budak2 ke pantai pun terpaksa cancel. Bila balik ke Bota semula, baru realise, takde pun gambar Syakir n Izzah bersama Atok n Nenek... 
Setibanya kami di Kelantan, as usual, ke Rantau Panjang dulu. Fuhhh, ramainya orang! Cuti sekolah kan...We had lunch there sebelum membeli-belah sikit. Kat situ le pertama kali berjumpa dgn buah keranji (remember the pantun - sorong papan, tarik papan. buah keranji dalam perahu?). try la gak makan. Ok la...Takde la minat sgt. Kecik je buahnya.
Lepas Rantau Panjang, baru la kami ke KB where we stayed at, for the rest of our trip. Nothing much nak story for the rest of the day. Malam tu Izzah tak berapa sihat (takde high temperature, but hidung tersumbat agaknya) and she could hardly sleep the whole night. Kejap2 terjaga and she wailed sampaikan Atok n Nenek kat bilik sebelah pun terjaga, risau dengar cucu menangis (but then the walls of the hotel room were rather thin)

Senja di Tasik Banding
Minggu lepas kami ke Kelantan, menghadiri majlis perkahwinan kawan Ayah. We went with Atok and Nenek. Bertolak dari Perak pada hari Khamis pagi, pulang semula ke kampung pada hari Sabtu petang.
